i've seen a number of these hats, and i own two different BYU styles...a white one (i bought the store out of the white one and used them one year for christmas gifts) and a stone/khaki colored one, and neither has a velcro strap. i've also seen them in the MLB style and those don't have the velcro straps either. i'm guessing some web guy either didn't look close enough or made an assumption.
