Why I don't feel bad for Bronco, Doman, Anae, or even Holly
Many brilliant and talented business men will pay large amounts of money for customer feedback (Tell us how we are doing cards). Why don't they say..."Who cares what they think? Do you think they know more about my business than I do?"

Because they are smart enough to know that absolutely no one, including themselves is perfect at what they do, and because they know that they have "blind spots" that prevent them from making needed changes. I believe that one of the reasons T H has done so well in his role is because he gets that. He has been a professional football player, a HC, and an AD, but he is smart enough to listen to his customer base and to recognize that Feedback Is Always A Valuable Gift.

That Bronco has thousands of passionate fans that provide feedback, without charge, this feedback is something he should be eternally grateful for. How many of us in our chosen professions would kill to get that kind of feedback? While some posters may be 10 year old kids... or act like 10 year old kids... They are fans that pour over his football product looking for ways that it can be improved. If Bronco, or any other leader, does not see that value of that gift, he is foolish.

If I were Bronco, I would hire someone to run content analyses of operations like CB to identify weaknesses in my system. Would I change everything I do based on what I learned from my fan base? Of course not. But I guarantee that I would be learning and adjusting on a regular basis.

You know, our fan base, while sometimes obnoxious, is extraordinarily intelligent and successful. A few have great expertise in the business of football. Some get paid big bucks as professional consultants. CB is a resource that should be treasured and used. CEOs who gather "yes men" around them to tell them how brilliant they are (we all see these idiots) consistently miss the boat as it sails out of the harbor. Hopefully Bronco and his staff are smarter than this.
