That's not entirely accurate
LaVell discussed recently his PR move of the call-in show and talked about how uneducated the fans were and that he wasn't even listening to their questions half the time.

LaVell was a skilled PR guy. Bronco is not at all a skilled PR guy. Both were equally annoyed with the fanbase. It's all how you handle your public image. Bronco just doesn't care that much.
