Instead of finding out what really occurred you take him at face value and make a "dumb" statement. I was fortunate enough to meet Star earlier this year at a luncheon and got to hear his story. It was not that he did not have the "book smarts" coming out of high school but he made very poor choices. While working in a furniture store after high school he got sick and tired of seeing his friends and family going onto college and making something of themselves. Therefore he went back part time to get his grades up and play football. After that he approached the local colleges and very few including BYU had any need for him. Utah did so they brought him on board. He is now married, has a daughter, on track to graduate this spring and has a promising NFL career ahead of him. For a dumb person he sure did figure out the smart way to move on with his life.
