Just looking into BYU future football schedules and I believe BYU/admin has a problem that needs an immediate decision. In 2013 the cougars have Texas, Hawaii, USU, G Tech, Houston and BSU scheduled. In 2014 they have Texas, Houston, Hawaii, BSU, So Miss, and UCF. In 2015 Nebraska, BSU, USU, So Miss and Hawaii but who will fill out the rest of the schedule. (ie. with the demise of the WAC which has severely limited their solutions)If BYU stays independent they must find at least four to five more games to have a full season. Now the question, does BYU 1) Beg their way into the Big 12 hat in hand with little as a bargaining position, 2)Humble themselves and their fan base and beg their way back into the MWC, 3)Keep trying to schedule div 1 teams, 4)Settle for div 2 teams. 5)Another solution. Keep in mind that if they are admitted into another conference, then who do they drop or buy their way out of? So the point is NOW is the time to make the decision. What do you think they should do? What if some of their scheduled opponents want out of their commitments?
