but by the end of the year I wasn't convinced that his jump was really that significant. We saw him against the following last year: UW, Air Force, FSU. All three were quality bowl teams that made him look mostly awful. He comes out this year and is doing quite well, but by the time he faced TCU and Tulsa, he didn't really look all that much better than he did the year prior. We've got another year before we know whether his strides were significant or if it was just the fool's gold of playing Idaho every week, because he certainly would have beaten up on Idaho the year before as well. For now I think his strides from last year to this year were modest, not miraculous.
