Is there a polite way to let someone know that the
information they forwarded to you by email is inaccurate. I get forwards from friends, parents, and coworkers all the time with inaccurate information.

First thing I do is look it up on Snopes. I've been tempted to copy a link of the snopes article and send it back to the sender - but I'm afraid I'll come off as a know it all jerk. So I end up letting it go.

What's the consensus protocol for my fellow CBers.
