I did have a scholarship but never applied for a grant. I remember one friend I went to school with who felt guilty about his pell grant. He said his other friends were all using theirs to buy nice stereos and stuff. His grant was for his needs but then he came into a little money and tried to return his pell grant because he felt so guilty. They wouldn't take it back but I always admired him for trying.
