"Were" the cream of the crop of the non-BCS
The only program in this list not currently able to claim BCS status (even though only in the future) is BYU. That may happen in the future but I agree with kimdaddy35 here. Maybe use the CURRENT kings of non-BCS:
Air Force
Houston
Nevada
Northern Iowa...
