The counter point that many of us have tried to make is that years six and seven is exactly when the brunt of the Crowton disaster was going to hit BYU all along. And, it did. Right on schedule
At a normal school a similar disaster would have hit at year 4 or 5, but likely be mitigated via the JC pipeline. BYU can't use JC recruiting as effectively because most JC guys can't qualify and won't sign the honor code. And, the mission effect means it takes us an additional two years to restock. That puts us at year 6 and year 7. That's the part of the argument that I think many people are missing.
