I was thinking over the weekend (after reading so many negatively charged posts here over the past few weeks/months) that some of you should just switch to the U. and be done with it.
-You want a program in a major conference. Check.
-You want a program with current access to the BCS and future access to a new model/playoff. Check.
-You want a program with good facilities. (sort of) Check.
-You want a program with a strong fan base who wears the team colors. Check.
-You want a coach whose top priority is football. Check.
-You want a coach who works seven days a week and stays well into the evening. Check.
-You want a coach who cares more about football than the type of guys his players are off the field. Check.
-You want a coach who will discipline his players for off the field issues but do it in a way that won't hurt the team. Check.
-You want a program that can attract athletes (black guys). Check.
-You want a program with a good (to great) defense. Check.
-You want a program who rarely plays week days but will always get on national TV. I guess we'll see how good the P12 TV deal is. Tough to say right now.
-You want a place where the best LDS athletes can go and still be in a good environment with access to instruction and spiritual support. Yeah, they have a nice big institute up there, but anything spiritual or uplifting about the U. starts and ends there.
Anyway, seems to me the U. fits almost all of the things many of you want. Might as well jump ship.
