I was thinking over the weekend (after reading so many over-the-top positively charged posts here over the past few weeks/months) that some of you should just switch to the SVU and be done with it.
-You want a football program, kind of. Check.
-You want a program, but don't care about the conference or level of competition. Check.
-You want a program with good facilities. (but it doesn't really matter) Check.
-You want a program with a strong fan base who wears the team colors, or not. Check.
-You want a coach whose top priority is anything but football. Check.
-You want a coach who only works on things besides coaching football. Check.
-You want a coach who only cares about the type of guys his players are off the field. Check.
-You want a coach who will water board his players for off the field issues. Check.
-You want a program that only goes after lily white LDS guys. Check.
-You want a program with a good (to great) defense well, you don't really care about football so on the field stuff really doesn't matter to you. Check.
-You want a program who rarely plays on TV - maybe they'll launch byutv-east someday, though.
-You want a place where the best LDS athletes can go and still be in a good environment with access to instruction and spiritual support.
Anyway, seems to me SVU fits almost all of the things many of you want. Might as well jump ship.
