flash a new ROM with ICS tonight. I scared myself half to death when I flashed the new ROM. The phone got stuck on the bootloading screen for several minutes, but I couldn't get it back into recovery mode for about 30 minutes, and could only get it into ODIN mode. Finally, it let me back in and I was able to flash the new ROM again, and now it's working great.
