"I cannot speak as to what motivates anyone else. Our fans are passionate about our program. Our fans are passionate about the rivalry. We are firmly committed to continuing it on a yearly basis. However, if others choose to minimize its importance and move away from playing annually, that is their choice. Knowing this to be the case, we are excited about replacing it with the annual "Bronco-Cougar Cup" game that we are planning on playing the last week of the regular season with Boise State going forward as soon as scheduling arrangements can be made between the two schools."

Say no more. Move on. Eliminate little brother from the equation. Boise/BYU is a much bigger TV draw nationally than BYU/Utah ever was.
