He wants to be loved and embraced by not only the Yewt community but by the BYU community and the Church. He wants BYU to see him as its succesful son and be proud of him for his accomplishments. He wants to be on the cover of the Church News as a member leading out in the world of college athletics.

These things will never happen as long as BYU and Utah continue playing each other and Kyle is perceived as the enemy. It's to his personal advantage to make this go away so in time the intense rivalry feelings will die and he can be seen in a more positive light.

Kyle wants to be able to walk on BYU campus and be welcomed and feel included instead of feeling like the enemy. He wants the worldwide Church membership to know his name. He wants his name to be spoken of for good instead of evil. The only way to make this happen is to stop playing BYU.
