In Italy, you can order a pizza that has peas on it. Peas on pizza has to be one of the worst ideas ever, and yet the Italians do it. So, whether the Italians do or do not put something on a pizza is not a good argument.

BTW, I have eaten pizza in Naples, where the pizza was invented, so I have a little bit of history from which to speak.
