It's too bad the fear of falling apart set in and the conference scrambled for anyone with a pulse (ie. memphis, temple, SDSU, possibly villanova fb). I'm still a fan of BYU joining the Big East, even if it gets to 16 teams, however I would have preferred to be a member of an 8 team or 12 team Big East that included.

However, if the conference gets to 16 teams I could forsee something similar to what happened with the WAC occurring, and the 8 best teams breaking off for a better TV deal. I could actually see that with any of the future conferences when they get to 16.
