You're contending for a place in the PAC championship game. Then you have to play a game at the end of Novemenber with your bitter non-conference rival, who is boiling red in anger that you were selected into the PAC over them. (See Greg Wrubel's epic tantrum after Utah was invited for evidence).

That would be like you have a chance for a promotion in January, so you decide to invite your bitter ex-wife to the company Christmas party. Just dumb.

Everyone knows Max Hall's attitude permeates BYU Nation. Why would you risk a cheapshot injury right before you go to the PAC championship game?
