BYU's schedule constraints
Most Independent schools are scheduling 7 home games, which means to get to 7 home games the cougars will have to add 5 OOC home games and two semi-OOC home games in USU and BSU.

This means the cougars will need to either play Utah every year in LES, OR the game could be played in RES every other year but the stadium would be decorated in cougar blue and broadcast by ESPN as a BYU home game with 99% of proceeds going to BYU. This is an unfortunate by-product of the money arms race inside the independents which is out of our control.

If BYU and Utah cant come to terms, I could see BYU replacing Utah with a FCS school or maybe a highly ranked girls rugby team. It would become a money game, again, it is all about the arms race.

So, would Utah agree to play in LES every year except for leap year where an extra game would be played at RES as well.

OR

would Utah agree to the dress up RES scenario above.

OR

would Utah just bag the game altogether knowing that BYU made all the efforts they could taking into account that they are in an arms race with Notre Dame.
