My opinion is that the playoff will expand to 16+ teams and conference schedule of eight games will conclude the regular season, leaving games 9-12 to be included in the post season playoff. As time passes, and non conference regular season games are eliminated, BYU will have trouble scheduling big time games making it more difficult finishing in the top 4. Even the 1996 Cougars who had one of the most difficult schedules in the country did not qualify for the Boal Coalition....believe they were #5. In my opinion, the 1996 cougar squad was the best ever at BYU could not qualify, BYU may never reach the nc under these conditions.
