They think they can be BYU, but without the honor code. The problem is that the honor code, the affiliation with the church, and all the other things that Ute fans think are constraints are truly what make BYU unique and attractive to the kids that want to go there. They are thinking of what they would want in a college and projecting that on the recruits that BYU gets.
