We've never had a tablet before, is it possible to do minimal spreadsheets (bills) and word processing with a tablet? Other than that she mainly just uses her laptop for online content (FB, pinterest, Skype, etc.). Would an Android tablet be a viable choice, or should I talk her into a traditional laptop.

On a related note, Newegg has some great deals on refurbished Acer Iconia A500s and Asus Transformers (not the new Prime). Any thoughts on these tablets?
