The unabridged version of Jayne Eyre that I have, believe it or not, is possibly one of the best produced audio books I've listened too. Reader is top notch.

If she likes Stephanie Meyer, the Host is 1000000x better than twilight.

Now. Non-fiction: Ghost Soldiers (ww2 special forces mission) and Over the edge of the World (Magellen's journey) is excellent.

LOTR unabridged is a classic and will last the entire journey. I've also enjoyed the Orson Scott Card unabridged productions.

Harry Potter is a classic, and I've even enjoyed the Artemis Foul and Percy Jackson books (if you have to entertain kids at the same time).

Unabridged True Grit is also a hoot. Hunger Games is also well done.

I don't like anything that is abridged, so I steer clear.

The Earegon series is long and the narrator is also good if you like Fantasy.

I love my audio Books. Good luck.
