So I'm curious CB's collective wisdom on rally-cap protocol.
Watching the G's A's game last night, after the Giants had retaken the lead in the top of the 9th, I noticed a gentleman still wearing his rally-cap. Is this acceptable protocol? At what point is the rally considered accomplished, and the hat returned to its regularly scheduled programming? Is it the point at which your team takes back the lead, even if you're not yet at the last out of the side? Is it the end of that half-inning? Is there a difference in convention if the rally cap has gone on earlier than the 9th inning? ...if your team ties the score or takes the lead before the 9th inning? Or is the rally cap not retired until the game is over just to make sure???
