This actually gives me a little hope for our home. On the far east side of the perimeter, you'll see a white splotch. That is a mining scar, and we live at the very base of that scar. Based on this map, our home is OUTSIDE of the fire perimeter. That said, I do know that some homes in our neighborhood that back up to open space have burned, and they would technically be outside the perimeter that this map shows. But again, this gives me some hope...at least for now.
We've hated that scar since we've moved in, but it may have saved our house.
