...ly awful. That said, there's really not much out there in the trade market in way of quality bats (Carlos Lee? Derrek Lee? Um... no thanks). In years past, I'd be certain that Mustache Colletti would ship off a bundle of decent prospects in return for one or two bad, has-been veterans. I'm more hopeful that Stan Kasten will keep Colletti in check this year, realizing that as much fun as their fast start was, this team is not built for the playoffs in 2012 (and no trade-deadline acquisition is going to change that). Hopefully they sit tight, move aggressively with free agents in the offseason, and set their eyes on competing in 2013.
