a rather lame tournament. the vast majority of the "big games" have been one sided dross, or boring affairs. spain are obviously a better team than italy, but it's so underwhelming to get excited for each of these big matches and then being disappointed as they fail to live up to the hype.
I had been really excited for euro 2012, but this one has been a big disappointment for several reasons, and not just because my team went out early. it's just all been a let down. no big upsets, no surprise packages, no dark horses (italy only sort of counts, being such a major international team no matter the year). its all played out rather predictably (with the notable exception of italy upsetting germany). great for fans of spain. boring for everyone else.
