This is common sense to everyone except new parents, especially mothers, who think they are child abusers if the kid cries for more than a minute or loses more than 2 oz of body weight.

You are dealing with a one year old here, not a newborn or a premie (I assume). If there are no other complications, just sit back and offer only milk. Eventually it will happen. Until then, this one year old is out-smarting the both of you.
