A recent study of college fan bases across the U.S. showed BYU's fan base is over twice as big as Utah's. Utah's has only grown over the last 8 years because of the many fair-weather, bandwagon fans who jumped on after 2004 and 2008. If that success doesn't continue in the PAC 12, the notoriously disloyal fan base will shrink again; including among the core who are more BYU-haters than anything else, since they won't be playing their rival annually anymore.
