First off I am not active LDS, I am agnostic. So quoting scripture or church leaders is not going to do much to change my view on some thing. So when you say our faith in your post, it's really your faith and not mine.
Tuckers writing, and he is a gifted writer, you have to admit that even if you don't like his work, is meant to be funny. It's not meant to offend, though some people are offended by it, and I have to wonder why they would read Tucker's books if they are easily offended anyways. The nasty things some Utah fans have done were meant to offend, they were meant to harm, there is a big difference in the intent and severity of the stuff Tucker did and why he did it and the stuff some Utah fans have done and why they did it.
Also you keep making this claim that I have defended Tucker's behavior in his stories, when I have done no such thing and have in fact said I don't approve of the behavior.
It's not hypocritical to think alcohol and bigotry fueled actions are wrong because I think some stories a guy told in some books are funny.
