Once and for all time, tithing subsidizes BYU athletics
LDS Church tithing funds subsidize tuition at BYU for both members and non-members. The BYU athletic department reimburses the University for tuition for athletes who are on athletic scholarship. Thus LDS tithing subsidies for tuition directly reduce the BYU Athletic Department's expenditures and thus directly subsidize the Athletic Department. Were the true cost of educating students at BYU charged directly to the students, tuition would be far higher than it is, necessitating a much larger outlay from the Athletic Department for its grants-in-aid.

I know this can be difficult to grasp (particularly for those too blind to see), but can we all (including ALUFs) now agree, at least in principle, on this fact, once and for all?

Yes, ALUFs, your tithing is directly subsidizing BYU athletics. Get used to that reality and see yourself accurately as the "house-divided" individuals that you really are.
