As for this idea that the NCAA is justified in punishing "the culture" and that this culture is going to be changed because of these sanctions, how absurd can we possibly be? If the NCAA is justified in heavily sanctioning an unhealthy football culture, then let's go ahead and sanction every major football program in America while we're at it. PSU is not an anomaly in this regard. They're just the ones being publicly lynched at town square. They're the only ones being sanctioned for a universal fault. And they're being sanctioned for it because they were unlucky enough to have the pedophile on staff that may or may not (we don't know the entire scope of any alleged coverup) been protected by these 4 guys ... WHO PENN STATE FIRED! There is a massive disconnect between those guilty for crimes committed and those being punished.
