It's really only the last 10 yrs...

...Utah's 90's and BYU's 90s weren't that different. BYU had some fame with Ty Detmer, a Heisman, the win over #1 ranked Miami on ESPN, the Cotton Bowl team that got ripped off by the Bowl Alliance/Bowl Coalition and finished #5 that year, etc, things tapered off after that that last half of the decade.

For Utah they had a top 10 finish in their somewhere and a few nice bowl wins and the end of hte 90's kind of tapered off for them as well iirc.
