which aren't as good as LES. many of them have an aura about them sure, but, in terms of ability to watch a game, not so great.
Georgia Tech..older, brick, dingy. smaller than LES. poor site lines for endzone and corners.
Virginia...see above.
Penn State...old. yes, expanded and nice seats. but, it wasn't built brand new and doesn't have the bells and whistles
Notre Dame. big. good site lines. but, not new, shiny modern.
Alabama... old stadium. nice number of good seats, but, still have corners that aren't good view angles.
NC State ... smaller, older. new seats, but, old site lines from 80 years ago.
Northwestern. way old. way small. poor seats. site lines good, but, because it is small.
UW... will improve, but, was still supposedly a great place to see a game. upper deck WAY up. endzones sucked. track in the way meant you're that much further away from the field no matter where you sat.
with the economy the way it is and will be for teh foreseeable future, i'm way happy with LES as is. sure, new paint, a few other niceties. But, i'd rather the school invest its $ in education or keeping tuition low.
the place gets used 7 times a year. unless you're gonna dome it and use it 50 times a year (though, not sure how you'd even do that), we should be happy with what we have.
