RE Bronco's methodoligies - winning cures everything
if he goes too hard and people get injured he gets criticized.
if he goes too easy to help people stay healthy and they look unprepared he gets criticized.
if he wins...he WON'T get criticized. period. while bronco has enjoyed successful teams and really he's had a better start than his hallowed predecessor LaVell. but one of bronco's team's weaknesses are his 1-2 starts. i'm sure he struggles with what to do...get them really amped up but risk more injuries or ease up and risk not being prepared. after 7 years it appears something wasn't working so bronco decided to change. (one thing his critics frequently suggest he won't do).
will it work? will it be better? i have no clue. you could argue either way. but maybe some change in fall camp will result in a change in their 1-2 starts...just maybe. i'm reserving judgment until i see the team actually play. if they're missing tackles left and right and getting injured cuz they aren't used to hitting then he'll look like a fool. if, on the other hand, his team is healthy and "raaawwaring to go" (think franc on father of the bride) then he'll look like a genius.
time will tell. winning cures everything. go cougs!
