Winning is job security for a coach. Recruiting, coaching to improve talent, and game planning are key to this. If a coach listens to the fans and loses then they are not being a good coach--and I don't believe many, if any, do listen the fans to make decisions. If your analysis is true then he was a bad coach for caving to fan pressure. If your analysis is not true then he was just a bad coach.
