If Oregon finishes undefeated and stays ranked in the top 2, and is left out of
the BCS Championship game, it will be the 3rd time a PAC-12 team has been passed over by teams from better conferences in the BCS era.

2001 Oregon (#2), and 2003 USC (#1) were both left out of the BCS title game, despite being ranked in the Top 2.

The PAC-12 doesn't seem to get that much respect, when compared to their counterparts in other major conferences.

Of course, that's what happens when the *last consensus National Championship by a member of your conference was in 1972 (USC).

U$C won a consensus NC in 2004, but it was stripped due to their NCAA violations during that era.
