Never thought I would hear myself say that, but after watching this video there's no way I can do anything but cheer for Manti Teo and Notre Dame against Alabama tonight.

I already knew the story about his girlfriend and grandmother, but I hadn't seen this video.

I'll be honest, when Manti Teo chose to commit to Notre Dame over BYU 4 years ago and then later announced he had decided against serving a mission, I wrongly questioned the answers he claimed to had received through prayer.

After following his story, it is now apparent to me that he made the correct decision and there was no better place for him to play football and be an inspiration to others than at Notre Dame.

Unfortunately, BYU will not always get the top LDS athletes (Jabari) even though we as fans feel they almost have a duty to come here. Oftentimes, as in the case of Manti Teo, they will have much greater opportunities if they end up playing somewhere other than BYU.

I'll always hope that BYU remains appealing to the top LDS athletes, but I'll never again question their decision to commit somewhere else.
