before you go to far off the deep end here, in the case of the USF game
last Saturday night there were two families in my ward alone that wanted to go but when they tried to get tickets online they claim they were sold out. I didn't check this out myself, but two different and unrelated men told me the same story. I bought tickets last week on the USF Dons website, and they both said that closer to gameday the site showed tickets were unavailable. I just bought tickets for Santa Clara on Saturday and St. Marys in February, all tickets were $40, more than they charge for any other game. My wife and daughter will go with me, so about $140 after convenience fees. Add a meal and refreshments on top of that and driving an hour to the Santa Clara game and you're easily at $200 for what turns out to be about 2.5 hours of entertainment. As for the halftime entertainment at the USF game, in my opinion it sucked. Lame Shaolin dancers swinging foil covered rubber knives on a stick.

Maybe I'm just not hardcore enough when it comes to basketball, but $200 for 2.5 hours I don't think is cheap, especially when my recliner and surround sound sits at home and the 60" is turned off with BYUtv broadcasting better views in HD.
