I think there is a lot of faith promoting rumor regarding the evils...
...of the Honor Code and its enforcement. Having done my undergraduate and graduate work at BYU, and having interned with a department that worked very closely with the Honor Code Office, my experience is that tales of tattletale BYU students are greatly exaggerated.
However, to all those who've complained about the Honor Code, I've offered this deal: Would you be willing to pay the tithing subsidized part of the your tuition in exchange for not having to abide by the Honor Code?
