I'm not talking about working at the temple, but attending.
Funny that I can go to the temple with my goatee, but I'd get turned away from Econ 101. It's the demanding obedience on a topic that has nothing - zero! - to do with salvation that drives me up a wall. I've had stake presidents attempt to arbitrarily impose facial hair policies "to test the obedience of the faithful," and it's nothing more than manipulative nonsense. It's a cult-leader tactic.
