Now if we're talking dress code, that's another matter entirely. BYU could
easily maintain a dress code without any complaint from most people IF THEY WOULD SIMPLY TAKE IT OUT OF THE HONOR CODE.

Enforce the dress code and grooming standars fiercely if you wish. But as long as you say it is part of the same honor code that includes sexual morality (unnecessarily so), people will think you're being pharisaical. Even though that's a pretty reasonable request. You think people are raising a cry about Air Force or the Naval Academy having a strict dress code? No. Because they don't insinuate it has something to do with a person's worthiness. But BYU's dress code/honor code hybrid, like it or not, does just that.
