Search Tips
The author search finds messages with the author specified. If the
author given ends with an ASTERISK (*), it will match any messages having an
author whose name begins with the letters given.
The text search searches for messages that contain ANY of the
search terms, with the following rules:
QUOTES (") allow searches for phrases. That is, a search for
"dog cat" returns all messages that
contain that exact phrase, with a space in between the words.
A leading PLUS SIGN (+) indicates that this word must be present.
A leading MINUS SIGN (-) indicates that this word must not be present.
PARENTHESES may be used to group words or phrases into subexpressions.
An ASTERISK (*) at the end of a word indicates truncation. That is, it should
match any words that begin with those letters.
The engine is not case-sensitive and searches the subject and body.
