that see things differently than I do. You Kool-Aid drinking fans have levels of optimism that are unrealistic, and others, your levels of pessimism are disgraceful for someone who supposedly likes the team. You have all failed to achieve the perfect level of disappointment, yet unshakable faith that I have in the team and in the coaching staff.
I am sure it comes from the length of time that you have dedicated to the team as a fan. You have either been a fan for such a short period of time that you do not realize how good things are right now compared to how they have been at times when they were worse. Or you have been a fan so long that your memory of the past has actually blinded you from the way things really were compared to how they are now. If you could only have the perfect medium amount of fandom that I have.
And how you speak of the players!!! Disgraceful! Don't you understand that some of these kids are barely adults, yet you speak like they are men in their mid twenties who have seen the world, like the other half of the team.
Perhaps if you could only dedicate yourselves at a higher level, the perfect level of fandom that borders on addiction, but yet is levelheaded enough to keep priorities right where they need to be. Then you could have the ability to measure the intensity of the situation properly to know when to stand and to know when to sit, when to cheer and when to boo with pin point accuracy in a way that would never ever be conceded as overbearing.
Please, we all need to be better fans of BYU. A fine institution that is making a positive impact on the world for not only itself but the faith it represents, but not necessarily to the level where we would consider it a full on missionary tool.
Come on guys get it right already!
