I'm sick and tired of our great athletes who go on to long professional careers who married some tiny cheerleader type. Yes, I'm talking to you, Brian Kehl, Shawn Bradley and Ty Detmer; and many others. You know who you are. You have a responsibility to raise up a generation of athletic superstars that will come to BYU and take them to the next level. Instead, you marry these tiny things that look good now, but one day they'll slip between the sofa cushions never to be heard from again.

As he has done in many areas, Chad Lewis shows the rest of you how it should be done. He didn't marry a tiny cheerleader. He married a volleyball player. A basketball player would have also done nicely. Sure, they all have to shop at Lane Bryant - but think about your dear Alma Mater here. You may think the 4 or 5 years you've given us entitles you to a little eye candy, but your responsibilities don't stop here.

Tom Holmoe seriously needs to set up some rules for whom his athletes are allowed to marry. Have some athletic department mix and mingles for Pete's sake. Pay for the softball players to have their noses straightened so they are a little easier to look at. Heck - even invite the women shot-putters so the offensive linemen have someone to date. The whole department needs to be more forward looking.
