but our guys didn't need any motivation to beat that trash. Hawaii sucks almost as much as Conan O'Kirkland.

Bronco singled out several players

from the scout team that he thought were the "good ones this year."

When Lyons asked the question about the scout team players, Bronco sounded like he was excited to answer.

"Offensive lineman that have been doing a phenominal job"- Tui Crichton, Terrance Alletto, Ryan Mulitalo.
Then he went on to "Richard Wilson doing an excellent job at TE."

Then Wrubel lead the witness(which was a first for him ) and asked about Cody Hoffman. And Bronco said, "I was just going to mention the tandem of receivers in Mitch Matthews and Cody Hoffman, that are exceptional. And also the PR J.D. Falslev."
Then he states that before Malosi Te'o got hurt he did a really nice job at RB.

Switching over to the D.

"There is a DLineman named Remington Peck and Jaden Wagner have done a really nice job."
Then moving to the future secondary......Drumroll please.... "Jray Galea'i, a young freshman who is doing an exceptional job. Travis Uale was a scout, now coming over because of some depth issues. And a corner that's doing a good job a local kid named Scott Lafrant(who? sp?) thats worked real hard."

I know a few of these kids are mission bound. And before you start posting that these guys are only scout team legends....These are players also that Bronco thought enough about that when asked, their names came to his mind.

I know this has been posted, but I think cougarfans it deserves another look- This is a player that Coach Tidwell called, "a player that could change our Defensive scheme."
Last info I have on Van Noy.

The last thing I have heard on him is that he is on track to enter BYU in Jan w/Heaps and Apo. He is not assigned a position. They will work him on both sides of the ball and see how things work out.

I think it was a quote from Bronco on that. They really will work him out on both sides and talk with him and get his imput.

Tidwell really likes this kid a ton. Now before many of you point out that he was slated at OLB. I understand that had we had a Buck linebacker that could play in space. Meaning did much better in coverage. That might be something that they would look for Van Noy to do.....on D.

Much the same as what was spoken about w/Shiloh Te'o. A Buck Linebacker that can cover the slot/TE? or Runningback on the circle route, but also with the size/instict to help out in run support.

I spoke with Kyle after the TCU game. (not much more than a hi Kyle) But he said that he will be here in January.

USU vs BSU fans last night made ute fans look good

I sat behind a bunch of drunk USU students and in front of them were a handful of rowdy BSU students. AGain, BSU traveled well and had about 25% of the stadium in BSU blue and orange....OH and they are very obnoxious!

Anyway - shortly into the game, a loud mouth BSU guy is running smack non-stop very loud to all the USU folks behind him. I gotta admit he was good at it too. It was just him and his equally loud mouth rowdy girlfriend, as the bulk of BSU fans were several rows in front of him. Anyway, this guy had no problem getting into it with all the USU fans and sure enough after USU tied it up at 7, the BSU guy started melting down and letting all the insults get to him, so he and about 3 USU fans came within inches of blows, after a lot of cussing. Then this guys girlfriend starts to get in the face of a USU girl, which prompts another near fight!

Finally, this guys girlfriend takes her bf and pushed him away and they end up heading back to their safe haven, several rows in front with the other BSU fans in that area....Within no time, USU fans start chucking snow and ice from the snow covered south endzone cement bleachers and pelting the group of BSU fans. That starts another several confrontations, but BSU fans never came back to seriously challenge anyone this time. However, they did manage to inform the cops from up above. Next thing I remember was seeing the guy in front of me pelt the BSU group again upside their head with an ice chunk and within 15 seconds, a cop grabs this guy by the nap of his neckliner and whisks him away. This rallies the USU gang to yell obscenities for the next 15 minutes straight at BSU fans....but then it all started to die down once BSU scored in bunches and the USU fans left.

Another observations was that BSU fan does ONE thing when a call goes against them...they flip off the entire football field!!!! LOL

I have to be honest here....watching how obnoxious BSU really is (I know some USU fans are too), it really actually made me want to HUG Ute fans!!!! No kidding!!!!!

Herbstreit talks out of both sides of his mouth.

(For those of you who haven't seen GameDay yet, feel free to skip this post.)

On GameDay they show some stats suggesting TCU is as deserving (actually MORE deserving) of a high BCS seed than is Texas.

Then Herbstreit, without giving any justification, says TCU doesn't deserve to be ranked in the top 3. (He has no evidence to support this opinion...it's just that "TCU isn't as good as the Big 3.") It is pretty clear that his opinion of TCU is simply based on the fact that....theyr'e just TCU.

Then, 15 seconds later, he tells Corso that tradition and reputation shouldn't matter when it comes to who plays for the national title.

OK, Herby. Then put your money where your mouth is. If it's not TCU's relative lack of tradition and reputation that makes you say they don't belong in the top 3, then what is it? Provide some evidence or an argument to support your position that Florida, Alabama, and Texas all deserve to be ranked ahead of TCU.

It is pretty clear that his opinion of TCU is based only on their relative lack of tradition, he just can't say as much....but he then tells Corso that tradition and reputation shouldn't matter.

Whatever, Herbstreit. Get your story straight.
