a touch or realism is warranted. Davies plays the game below the rim. I hope this is because he is young. At this point, I don't see him rising to the level of expectations you guys are putting on him. Like Miles, he has flaws and some flaws are harder to overcome than others. Don't start talking about the kid as a potential pro. It isn't fair to him. He is developing. He could be good. He is pretty solid right now. At the end of Saturday though, he got worked a couple times by a dude named Nikola Cerina. I like what Davies does but don't put more on him than he can bear at this point. If Nikola Cerina can put 10 on you in 16 minutes, imagine what a top 10 offensive center could do. Davies has a lot of growing and developing to do before he is even as good as Plaisted was.

to play UNLV in round two of the MWC tournament. I was in the Thomas and Mack for the nightmare game this season, and I drove the six hours back home knowing dang well BYU was not meant to beat UNLV in Vegas. It's never going to happen. Sorry guys, just calling a spade a spade. I'm just surprised more people aren't up in arms over knowing we're done in the second round.

"Utah coaches had planned to redshirt QB Jordan Wynn last season, but they took his redshirt off at halftime of the eighth game. Not only that, he started the rest of the way for a Utes team that finished 10-3. He showed signs of being a star in the making, throwing for 297 yards in his first college start against New Mexico and throwing for 338 yards and three touchdowns in a Poinsettia Bowl victory over California. He struggled a bit in Utah's two biggest games, losses to BYU and TCU. But considering that he went against TCU's fierce defense in just his second career start and that the game with archrival BYU was his fourth start, he acquitted himself well. I expect him to be the All-Mountain West first-team quarterback this season."

UNLV won't have the same home court advantage this

time we play. If you were at the game, which I was, you would know that UNLV pounded us because of the fan support. It was amazing-- the good play and loud fan noise played off each other. It was synergetic.

However, that won't be the case on Friday. Last year in UNLV's semifinal game there were 10,856 fans. The year before that at UNLV's seminfal game there were 13,913 fans. And three years ago there were 13,891 fans at UNLV's semifinal game.

I was at two of those game, and only about 60% of the fans were UNLV fans. There was a distinct home court advantage for UNLV, but UNLV didn't get its energy from the fans that it normally got.

Completed an astounding 58% of his passes last year for an eye gouging 2800 yards, an incredible 21 TD's, and "only" 11 int's.

Yes, Jake Locker is quite possibly the best QB BYU will have ever faced in our entire existence. The short, slow, and pathetically inept BYU secondary might as well surrender now.

(In case there is any doubt, this post is a classic example of hyperbole.)
