Niners’ Warner Stops Hill On Saints’ Two-Point Conversion Attempt

NEW ORLEANS, La. – San Francisco 49ers linebacker Fred Warner stuffed New Orleans quarterback Taysom Hill short of the goal line on a two-point conversion attempt by the Saints.
Warner’s stop came during the first quarter of the game between the 49ers and Saints on Sunday, December 8.
The former BYU linebacker tackles the former Cougar QB short of the endzone on a two-point conversion attempt following a touchdown by the Saints with 4:51 left in the opening quarter.

Warner and Hill were teammates at BYU from 2014-2016. The linebacker played for the Cougars from 2014-2017 and the quarterback played in Provo from 2012-2016.
The 49ers linebacker entered the game with 92 total tackles, 3 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and 6 pass breakups on the season.
The Saints backup quarterback came into the contest with 16 carries for 127 yards and 1 touchdown on the year.
Warner was selected by the 49ers in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Hill was undrafted and joined the Saints after getting cut by the Green Bay Packers during the preseason of his rookie year. Hill has played for New Orleans since 2017.
The Saints led the Niners 13-7 at the end of the first quarter.
