The Utah Utes football team has cracked the Top 10 of the Associated Press Top 25 poll, while the BYU Cougars have started to gain attention from voters.

In the latest poll released on Sunday afternoon, the Utes are ranked No. 10, while the Cougars received 12 votes.

Utah moved up a spot from No. 11 after a 31-0 win over the Idaho State Bengals on Saturday, while this is BYU’s first mention in the poll this season after it beat the then-No. 24 USC Trojans 30-27 in overtime on Saturday.

The Trojans have dropped out of the poll altogether.

The Utes were the highest-ranked team to move up this week, as the top nine went unchanged from last week (Michigan, which did not play Saturday, is now ranked 11th after being ranked 10th last week).

Utah remains the highest-ranked team from the Pac-12. Oregon dropped a spot to No. 16, Washington State rose a spot to No. 19, Washington moved up a spot to No. 22 while Cal (23) and Arizona State (24) entered the Top 25.

BYU is seventh among the additional 12 teams to have received votes, essentially ranking it 32nd in the country. Kansas State received the most votes among teams out of the Top 25 with 91.

The Utes moved up a spot to No. 11 in the coaches poll, while the Cougars received 28 votes in it.
