4-Star Forward Brody Kozlowski Commits to BYU

X: @BrodyKozlowski

BYU landed its first commitment of the Kevin Young era as 4-star forward Brody Kozlowski announced his commitment to BYU. Brody has BYU in his final 5 along with SMU, Nevada, Stanford and Cal.

The Corner Canyon product signed with USC back in November, but reopened his recruitment in early April after USC Head Coach Andy Enfield too the SMU job. Brody is rated as a 4-star prospect by ESPN, Rivals, and 247’s Composite ranking.

A 6-foot-7 forward, Kozlowski likely translates to primarily a 4 when he comes in as a freshman. Brody is a knockdown shooter who can stretch a defense off the pick-and-pop or coming off screens. He is a physical player who is a plus rebounder and underrated passer. Many have compared him to Zac Seljaas. Both are great shooters, but I see Brody as a little more physical and stronger and Zac better able to guard perimeter players as a true freshman.

Brody has numerous ties to BYU. His mom is BYUtv analyst and former BYU athlete player Kristen Kozlowski. His dad, Travis, played football at BYU and his great-uncle, Glen, is one of the greatest receivers in BYU history.

Brody has not had mission plans and will be part of BYU’s roster next season. He has the ability to contribute as a freshman with his three-point shooting prowess, and I project him as big piece to BYU’s future.

You can watch highlights of Brody below.
