Stanford scored on a 7-yard Brycen Tremayne 7-yard touchdown catch, but the Cardinals were dealt some unfortunate luck on the point-after attempt, as a bad snap led to a failed conversion.

That leaves it as a two-score game on the Cardinal’s second failed PAT of the night. BYU 35, Stanford 26.

Stanford appeared to have a goal line stand inside the 5 but the Cardinal were called for offsides on a third-down attempt the play before the score.

The Cardinal have their first touchdown, scoring on a 1-yard Mitch Leigber run to cut into the Cougar lead. The extra point was missed, though. BYU 21, Stanford 9.

Stanford used a fourth and 5 conversion to get the 75-yard drive going on a play that netted the Cardinal 22 yards and got them deep into BYU territory.
